The June/July edition of New American Paintings (an excellent guide to
emerging art in the U.S.) features Southeastern artists, including
the talented Virginia Derryberry of Asheville, North Carolina, whose
paintings show “real” women in mythic (Southern) circumstances.
“Echo” (above) was one of the paintings selected.
